Available for infants and toddlers up to age three during Sunday School and worship. Childcare is often available for other church activities as well. A cry room is available at the back of the sanctuary for parents. There's a rocking chair, toys for toddlers and a speaker where you can still hear the service.
Classes for ages 3 years through 5th grade meet downstairs in our Education wing from 9:45-10:45 am on Sundays during the school year. Loving and trained teachers work with children to understand and experience God's love in age-appropriate ways.
Activity Time/One Room School House
Offered every Sunday but 1st Sundays (Communion Sunday)
Children ages 3 years - 1st grade are invited to Activity Time, following the Children's Message. A great team of volunteers take turns leading crafts and activities. Parents are encouraged to pick up their child downstairs following worship. In the summer months, we offer One Room School House instead of Activity Time.
We love having children in worship! Their energy and enthusiasm is an important part of our worship to God. We even have a special bulletin for 3-6 yr olds and 7-12 yr olds at the back of the sanctuary.
It's very important to us that all children feel welcome and safe at Anchor Park. We follow this Safe Sanctuary policy carefully. All volunteers go through background checks and training before serving in children's ministries. Please contact our office with any questions.
Children get to learn hand bells during worship on every 3rd Sunday. They then share a song to close our worship.
Children 2nd grade - 5th grade meet periodically throughout the school year for special music opportunities.
We have special children's events around Halloween, Christmas and Easter. We gather for crafts and special projects to celebrate the seasons.
Bibles are presented to our 3rd graders each year. If there is a third grader in your family let us know so that we may present a Bible in the fall.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is an important part of summer for children. We spend three days singing, learning about God, making crafts, playing games and collecting items for various projects in town.
