Lenten Study: 24 Hours that Changed the World
Adam Hamilton, pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, has written a Lenten study entitled “24 Hours that Changed the World.” Using solid Biblical scholarship, the study describes and examines the unfolding of events that led to Christ’s crucifixion. Each study session will also include a video component that Hamilton filmed on location in Jerusalem with the cooperation of the Christian tour company Educational Opportunities.
There will be three opportunities to attend this study. It will be offered Wednesdays at 6 pm at Anchor Park UMC beginning Feb. 24. A brief soup supper will begin at 6 and the study will begin no later than 6:30 each Wednesday through March 31.
The study will also be offered Sundays at 5 pm at East Anchorage UMC beginning Feb. 21. A brief soup supper will begin at 5 pm and the study will begin no later than 5:30 each Sunday through March 28.
The third opportunity to attend this Lenten study will be Thursdays at 10 am at Chester Park, 2020 Muldoon Rd. beginning Feb. 25. The study meets in the activity room and runs until 11:30. The Chester Park study will end April 1.
