ChildrenNursery
Available for infants and toddlers up to age three during Sunday School and worship. Childcare is often available for other church activities as well. A cry room is available at the back of the sanctuary for parents. There's a rocking chair, toys for toddlers and a speaker where you can still hear the service.
Sunday School
Classes for ages 3 years through 5th grade meet downstairs in our Education wing from 9:45-10:45am on Sundays. Loving and trained teachers work with children to understand and experience God's love in age-appropriate ways.
Kid Jam
Children ages 3 years - 2nd grade are invited to Kid Jam, an interactive DVD-based experience during worship following the Children's Message. A great team of volunteers take turns leading crafts, activities and a DVD curriculum from KidMo. Parents are encouraged to pick up their child downstairs following worship.
During Worship
We love having children in worship! Their energy and enthusiasm is an important part of our worship to God. We even have a special bulletin for 3-6 yr olds and 7-12 yr olds at the back of the sanctuary.
Music
Children get an opportunity to work with an Anchorage School District music teacher twice a month during Sunday School. They're invited to sing on various Sundays throughout the year. Children also get to learn hand bells during worship on every 3rd Sunday. They then share a song to close our worship.
Throughout the Year
Vacation Bible School is an important part of summer for children. We spend four days singing, learning about God, making crafts, playing games and collecting items for various projects in town. Be on the lookout for special children's events around Halloween, Christmas and Easter as well.
